God in All Directions: a poem by Leo Hartshorn
the muted greens
of the winter forest
enfold me
dew glimmers
on the earth's floor
my breath fogs
the icebox air
bare trees point bony fingers
to God in all directions
in silence
I taste
the wonder of winter
like an icicle
